Dont be fooled by the name. This branch is most definitely not at the airport, unlike the other car hire firms. Not only do you have to get a courtesy bus to travel several miles to the location, they only have one member of staff working here so if your timing is wrong you may have to wait 30 minutes or more. If you are really unlucky as I have been on this trip, you will get halfway to the car hire office and then turn around to pick up more passengers. On my return trip there was no one at the office and SIXT customer services could not get anyone on the phone from the local office so I had to pay for a taxi back to the airport!!!I am usually a huge fan of SIXT, their cars and customer service, but this office is a complete joke. If you are flying to Newcastle, use another car hire company!
Waited for an hour in the rain. The guy, who was late, tried to charge me for scratches they hadn't reported saying it was my fault when it wasn't. Terrible service, they need to be sued because they are trying to steal your deposit (200) to repair their vans. Shame on you!
Dont think that if you book a car from this location that you will actually get it at the time booked. Ive arrived today - during opening hours to pick up a pre booked car, only to find that the staff are out with no information about where they are or when we might see them. Dreadful service.
Need to be clearer where to actuall collect car from as rental hire place is no where near airport. Its a Gosforth Park Hotel
The car and people were excellent but this branch should not be described as Newcastle airport. Why dont Sixt simply rent space at the airport like all the other car hire firms.I useSixt because they are usually better quality and have higher integrity. Describing this as Newcastle airport is a misrepresentation.
