Great service, great staff, great vehicle for use while in Newcastle to go out and explore the Roman ruins! Educational points for Americans renting a car here though: found out in the north of England, 90% of the rental cars are all manual (read: stick), so while I managed to learn how to shift on the left very quickly, if you want an automatic reserve early and specifically request it. Also, British rental car category definitions are different from the US. I requested a compact to hold the 4 of us, but in the UK a "compact" is a US "subcompact", and a "mid-size" is a US "compact". Just something you need to consider when planning.
Staff members Lesley and Ben were incredibly efficient and friendly. The pick up and drop off was very easy and quick.
