Really good!! Free (although we donated). It was a nice way to learn about Newcastle through the ages. And the science maze was fun even for adults
Great museum and free entry. Lots to do and child friendly. You can spend a whole day wandering the exhibits. The cafe could be better but overall it's worth a visit
The Discovery museum in recent years was a little bit sad. Nothing had changed in decades. Now it seems they have a new director or exhibition team and it's regularly getting new and exciting rooms. Some rooms change regularly and other are updating what was originally there. All in all its a nice couple of hours!
Great place to bring your kids. My 2 and 5 year old love it here. Plenty of places to eat a packed lunch as well as a good cafe. Easy to get to on the metro from central station
I went here in the mid 90s as a kid and remember it being good fun. As a 30 year old it has not changed. Very tidy and easy to navigate around all 3 floors but.... I can't find myself to give it more then 3 ***. Great place to go to and have a look about, see and interact with a lot of the museum but It was very boring. Saying that it was also very fun... hence the 3 *** It is however free to the public and is open due to donations and for that I will give another *
