I went ice skating with a group of my friends on the 10th of Feb and it was really fun. Thanks a lot to Ruby, one of the people working on the rink, she taught a few of my friends to skate (even thought they were 17). So thanks again to Ruby by showing us up with her skating skills. Hello I came to the ice rink today and would like to comment on the awful customer service experience I had. The woman on the rink acted as though she worked for the army as oppose to a supposedly fun ice skating rink. Not a smile nor hello was said. As soon as we walked towards the counter i said hello with a smile and she said 'shoes'. Not please. Not thank you. Not anything. No one else was there besides me and my boyfriend so being busy which would be an excuse for this does not apply. I asked where I should put my bag. She said either with you or in a locker back in reception. By this point I had my ice skates on and she had taken my shoes already so what am I to do. I asked cannot I just leave it with my shoes. 'No' was the response. She came and skated with me and my boyfriend. When I boyfriend turned around to look and wait for me. She came over and said 'forward' again no please no thank you. Just on our case it felt for simply trying to have a fun time and skate. It has left me feeling really disappointed and upset.
Life Science Centre is somewhere you can spend the whole day and still not get round everything! So much to do and see. Lots of interaction displays. Highly recommend seeing the science theater show, if running, and a must is the planetarium shows along with the 5d motion ride. They have a main exhibition which changes every few months, so have went back everytime I've been visiting Newcastle as know that I will see something different and interesting each time! There is parking nearby or it's a few minutes walk from nearest train station/subway, so easily accessible
What a great place for kids and adults. Lots of hands on stations to suit everyone, with shows and a 3d ride. We visited as a group with ages ranging from 6 to 71 and we all enjoyed it. We were only there for 3 hours but could have easily stayed another 2 but had to leave to travel home.
A great place to visit, been on 5 school trips here now and always look forward to bringing the children for the day. Always organised and planned with accurate and helpful timings which allows the day to run smoothly. Shows, exhibits and workshops seemed to be reviewed regularly as they are often changed and adapted and I believe, always improved! A highlight is the 4D motion ride!
