This is a NON-PROFIT store and as a result you will find some genuinely honest and helpful folks there who also know a great deal about bikes! They will give you straight, honest advice and not try to con you unlike every other bike shop I've ever used. Went down today to get some new tyres. Was told the tyres I had were extremely high quality and I should think hard about replacing them. So I didn't. But they did an excellent job on changing my wheel and inner tubes and also made some free adjustments to my brakes. You can also buy second hand versions of just about everything you desire bike-wise in here, it's an aladdins cave for thrifty cycle-heads.
Absolutely terrible bike service. Took my bike in twice within the last week, and both times I paid for repairs the bike has ended up worse off.Just today they removed the back wheel and did some maintenance on the tire, and after they reattached the back wheel, it felt loose when riding and started making noises that it has never made before. This happened as soon as I took it out of the shop, and has never happened before. I took the bike straight back in to them, but they refused to take any responsibility or even attempt to fix the problem. Will be going elsewhere for bike maintenance in future.
I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for a bike that I could possibly get for my 2 daughters for free; it was well worth it! We received 1 bike, all the staff were lovely and the bike seems really good, a Raleigh bike. We also donated two bikes which they were really grateful for, No toilets to use close by though, I would recommend going to Morrisons before you plan to wait in the queue, for a free bike.
Popped in to get a inner tube fitted which was in fairness done straight away for me. Bike was Originally bought from here a few months ago. Was advised by the guy that my back calliper needed replacing as it was rubbing against the wheel and wheel was showing signs of wear due to this. Asked if and when they could replace it (obviously I would have been happy to pay for this) they became very unhelpful with just a dunno when we can fix it very unhelpful. Extremely helpful when purchasing the bike however if you need a repair a few months later its probably a good idea just to take it somewhere else. Wont be returning to purchase another bike
Brilliant ethos and amazing range of services... Will do anything they can to help you and the prices are really good. The stock they have has a fast rotation so if you're looking for something specific, either they have it or they don't. Lovely place.
