Nice and clean. A reception area to help you. A shop and a hairdresser &cafe. Foods good.
This beautiful green space is a jewel in New castle's Crown. Whatever the season it just looks wonderful, there is a lovely water feature, picnic spaces and lots of paths to explore. Take the dog or the children or both and watch them have fun but don't expect them to stay clean and don't get upset if they don't as they will gave great fun climbing and roaming through the trees. There is a small farm and bird area, a lovely cafe, and lots of open space for games. Please enjoy this area but look after it. Leave it as you would like to find it.
Beautiful place if your hoping for a nice walk out with the dogs. Generally kept very tidy. It has a beautiful leafy look to it in the autumn mornings. Worth a visit!
Nice, fairly clean and open park with large field suitable for ball games, modern children's playground and lake which attracts a number of birds (ducks in particular). Overall it could perhaps do with some investment to improve facilities for team sports and the car park is a too small to cope with demand in summer, but as urban parks go there are far worse and it's nice to see any green space in large cities that isn't built on in large cities these days as an ever-increasing amount of green belt land is given over to housing developments.N.B. The lake is fairy shallow but nevertheless dangerous for young children.
No disabled parking. No wheelchair access to the lake. Car park is abused by people parking there but walking to the hospital to save a few pence! So it's very hard to park. Virtually impossible if you use a wheelchair or have kids/pushchair which considering its a park is pretty useless. Of course the council simply say they do not have the money to do anything about it. Better off going to somewhere else...sadly.
