Been coming here easily 15 years. Foods really good, best masala fish in town, prices competitive too and the lads are good craic!

Absolutely delicious. I always get the tandoori chicken and chips. Very simple, cheap and delicious. Nice staff too which is always a bonus.
Mumtaz is my favourite takeaway in Newcastle. I love Indian food and it doesn't come any better than Mumtaz. I was initially disappointed as I had travelled miles to get there and they appeared to have no vegetarian food. Eventually I asked and they said they had just made some fresh, so I ordered a lentil dal and a chickpea curry. I also got some vegetable pakoras and crispy potatoes... delicious! The whole thing came to 10 which will last my wife and I for two days. Exceptional value!
