Bought what I thought was a lovely XC90R design on a 2013 after part exchanging my 2011 which I also bought from Mill. Must have been around 5 pm and the light wasn't great but upon seeing the car I noticed an issue with the shine and paint on one side. I highlighted this to the manager who told me 'it needed a good buff'. It was a high value Selekt car and had their 100 point check. I took his word for it and drove it home. The next day I walked up to the car and saw it in better light and It looked horrendous. Wow. A real shocker. I took it to a local bodyshops who told me the car had been in what looked like a big accident all the way down the passenger side. Practically the whole side had filler in it and the job carried out was very poor. Not a chance the Volvo could still be under paint warranty because it was aweful. Upon informing Mill I was faced with plenty of doubt and had to argue my case. They eventually listened and took the car back for repair but chose the cheapest repair possible and one that is particularly hard to do which was to replace the door skins ignoring the filler in the other panels. What option did I have ? I contacted Volvo who were equally pathetic siding with the dealer. The dealer at one point told me how 99% of customers would not notice the issue. I assume they are referring to the blind customers they serve. The car came back from an Approved Volvo repair shop and needless to say it could be described as worse I travelled 2 hours to collect the car yet the garage didn't check the quality. The finish was shoddy and the doors didn't even fit anymore. They lines were wrong and my fears were realised. I told them to sort it out again. They sent it back and once again didn't improve it by much. Doors still didn't fit properly and the lines were ruined on this 20K + car. No support from Volvo other than a 1K contribution towards another car even though i told them that Mill were refunding money but not the full amount I paid plus the PX car th at I wanted back had been sold within an hour of me dropping it off allegedly. I cannot warn people enough from thks dealer. The worst experience I've ever had and I drive 3 other Volvo's and am a classic enthusiast. I gave Mill plenty of opportunities to correct the car and finally refund the money entirely but they misled and bullied their way through the whole experience. Stay away as there are much better dealers in the area. New Volvo's are available across the region at the same or lower prices.
Sales department good, service department couldn't find out why my car steering wheel was huming, found fault myself.
No pressure off the salesman. He took the time to show me what was available and showed me the differance in the modles a test drive later. I purchaced a new car. Very happy.
Brilliant garage. Nathan looked after my dad from start to finish. Couldn't fault at all. Fantastic customer service.Thank you!
Can't fault the service. We looked at a few v40s, and after getting a great trade in price for our car, ended up taking a different vehicle to the one we placed a deposit on. Charles in the sales team was really helpful, listened to exactly what we wanted and ensured we understood all of our options. Loving the new car! Can't recommend Mill Garages enough.
