I'm sorry to say we were quite disappointed by Seven Stories. Several floors were not open to the public for various reasons and other floors didn't seem to have much in the way of attractions. Given the fairly high ticket price of 17 for two adults and a 3 year old I wouldn't be rushing back. The City Farm down the road was much better!!
I went with my 19month old, he loved it and was able to roam around freely, the cafe even had a little play area. Nice stress free day out.
Great venue for those who love childrens books and those with little ones. Perhaps a little limited when it comes to teens.Excellent bookshop contained within with great staff. If you need anything do speak with them. They have some great events on with authors and illustrators which are always wonderful to see and do add to your story time with the children if theyve seen or spoken with the author or illustrator. Exhibitions change with regularity, our girls have loved all of them, everyone gets something different from each. Ive enjoyed seeing my childrens reaction to the interactivity of books that I read as a child myself. Well worth a look but youll get best value from an annual pass.
My little boy loves it here. It's one of his favourite places. I love how friendly and helpful all the staff are on my last visit I had to take an important call whilst at the front desk. My little boy was anxious to get in side and the lady working at the desk came round to speak to him in his pram and entertain him for a few minutes whilst I finished my call. Thank you so much you lovely life saver lady. Good job team.
7 Storeys/Stories is listed on Google maps as a children's bookstore, but it's really an event and exhibition space with the opportunity to purchase examples. The place throngs with storytelling, especially for younger children (and their parents). Where it isn't in full action, the exhibits are doing their best to come to life on their own.Quite a few steps but you can use the lift. A wonderful place, even if the kids have left home and grandchildren not arrived yet
