Never had any problems with the staff, they've always been friendly and helpful.
It's alright bad opening hours
Absolutely appalling customer service today. The guy serving was very rude and dismissive and trying to throw his weight round. Even threatened to send my parcels back because I was not tolerating his behaviour. It's as if he was not happy to be there!
Royal Mail tried to deliver a parcel but unfortunately I wasn't at home. Fortunately, the parcel was delivered to a neighbour and a 'Something for you' card was posred through my letter box. Unfortunately the house number of my kindly neighbour was not made available to me. I've tried o contact the sorting office at Heaton and I was on hold in a que for 20 minutes before being disconected at 18.00 when the line closes. Really frustrating as knocking on all my neighbours doors on a dark winters night, on the off chance that they may have my parcel is not really apppropriate . Also, I'm not able to use my phone while at work, or pop into the sorting office .
The staff are generally good but their hours of business are a joke. 12:15 close during the week and 10:15 on a Saturday? Just because Royal Mail staff get up at the crack of dawn doesn't mean the rest of us do. Move with the damned times and open the office until 7pm that way people can collect their stuff after their work.
