I have dealt with Bishop Skinner for over 20 years, they arranged my office insurance and house holds contents insurance . At renewal in 2018 Covea Insurance refused renewal due to a claim, claiming that I did not cooperate in a disputed liability claim, as you may be aware you have to disclose any refusals to a new insurer , When I approached Bishop Skinner requesting that Covea reconsider I was advised there was nothing they could do and they couldn't assist with another quotation because of this I had to go to what my new broker describing my new policy as a naughty boy policy costing me 1300 more than last year. I then approached the financial ombudsman explaining that Bishop Skinner and Covea Insurance have effectively blackened my name, I am glad to report that the financial services have found in my favour no thanks to Bishop Skinner . Ever since Bishop Skinner got taken over by Towergate things have gone down hill. i am very disappointed in the way Bishop Skinner couldn't be bothered to fight my corner. AM glad to say I have arranged my Insurances with Ashbourne Insurance in Hoddesdon great Company independently owned working with the customer in mind.
