A brilliant rock/metal/alternative bar with a great atmosphere. The staff are always friendly. There's always something going on from original bands to tribute groups. There used to be Sunday night quizzes happening, I don't know if they're still on the go.
This place really rocks, it's always my first port of call when I go to town for a night out. Current owners/managers have got it just right. Reasonable prices, live music & not only that but the lovely bar manageress walks up and down the bar looking for people who need serving. Not something you see everywhere. Oh & I've been drinking there since the seventies when it was called the man in the moon so I do know the place well.
Great place for those that like rock music.They occasionally have live bands playing.Lighting is a bit low. The pub is below ground level so there are not really windows either.Good selection of beers, ales and lagers.Dont go if you dont like rock music
Great atmosphere, great music and great staff. Occasionally attracts a lower IQ crowd during sporting events but what bar doesn't.Excellent place for live music and has attracted quite a few big names considering the small-ish venue.100% recommend to anyone into rock/alt music and lifestyle.
Love this place. Great music, excellent live bands, cracking decor. Only problem for me is that the lighting is subtle and I like to read in pubs. Hey, not a reason to avoid, I am just particularly boring.
