I really think Cake Stories is probably the best coffee house in the city and as I'm Italian I can say I tried several coffee in New Castle but they bake the best one. The staff, the place, the coffee... all is great in this cakery! What to say about the scones?!!! THE SCONES, they are the better ones I ever tasted! I really loved the Avocado on toast too. I love so much this place that, after I discovered it, every time I go to New Castle (at least once a year) I search for an accommodation in the surrounding of Cake Stories to have breakfast there every morning!
Lovely service and great coffee, the non-alcoholic cocktails do the trick in the evening if driving.

Seriously good cakes. I can't get through the weekend without a piece of chocolate smash. An excellent pot of tea is also guaranteed. A local gem with a great friendly team.
Went for cakes and coffee with family - we all had different cakes and coffees - all excellent taste and quality. This cute, quirky cafe never disappoints. Lovely, passionate staff. Beautiful, moist cakes. The BEST afternoon tea I have ever eat by a mile.Everything is presented very well and the cakes are delicious. would definitely recommend and we will be back.
