One of Newcastle's finest galleries and right in the centre too. If you are interested in art it's an essential on your itinerary.
It seemed undirected - we walked in and wandered around without seeing any obvious pathway to take in order to cover the whole gallery. It was a cold day so it was nice to get into somewhere warm and free...
Grew up with this gallery, went to see my old favourite Isabella and the pot of Basil. Great gallery although small when there is an exhibition on. Sadly it had just finished so not much to see.
Good art gallery displaying both permanent works and hosting travelling exhibitions. Really nice tea room as well. Free entry however some speciality exhibits may incur additional fees.
Fabulous attraction in the city centre. Wonderful for children and a great place to visit while out shopping, try it.You wont be disappointed. very impressed indeed. And so proud to have it here in Newcastle
