A good university gallery space. Good shop too. The shows were a mixed bag. I thought that the links between artists (Ellen Gallagher and Fancis Bacon// everybody else and Kurt Schwitters) felt a bit forced.
Always interesting art to see. Friendly staff. Take a portable seat from reception if you're not good at standing.All free... of course. Visit it on the way back to Barras Bridge from a hospital appointment
It's not far from the city centre of Newcastle. It is good way to learn about different artists as well as some of the art work done by some of art students from the university of Newcastle since it is on the university of Newcastle campus site.
Small but very well arranged . Interesting collection currently . Good space for work and research.
The gallery is a maze of rooms filled with art displays and is clearly worth a visit which deserves quite a long time to embrace the whole ambiance.
