Beautiful victorian cemetery, quiet despite being on a main road. Good for reflection, and a goldmine for history.The grounds are immaculate, no litter anywhere. Overgrown areas are full of birds. And there are lots of yew trees.

Many famous North East names lie here: Armstrong, Hancock, Pumphrey, Fenwick, Dobson. Situated where Jesmond Road meets Sandyford Road. Fascinating website worth a view if you are unable to visit.
